The first person to respond to a request for help from our fund was the famous Ukrainian tennis player Daiana Yastremska. From the first day of the war, Daiana condemned Russia actions and tried to support her country. So, back in March, Daiana donated the prize money from the tournament in Lyon to the need of Ukrainian citizens injured during the war, and now Daiana Yastremska charity fund has allocated funds for the purchase of protective equipment for sappers and promised to provide regular support in the future, which will contribute to the speedy reconstruction of Ukraine.
Despite her young age, Daiana can be considered an experienced benefactor. For more than three years, Daiana fund has been providing financial support to children undergoing operative treatment for visual impairments at the Filatov Institute, and since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, her fund has provided food products to low-income citizens of Odessa.
We are proud that in Ukraine there are people like Daiana, who from a young age take care of the problems of their country and help their compatriots.
